Data and API

This page explains what you can reuse from Calciometrica's content, what we cannot redistribute (and why), and what plans we have for offering programmatic access to our indicators.

Why isn't there a public API for all the statistics?

The raw statistics you see on the site (lineups, match events, standings, injuries, player bio data) come from commercial providers, primarily API-Football, under a licence that does NOT allow us to redistribute them. Exposing them via API would breach our agreement with the provider. To access these sources you need to go to them directly.

What we CAN offer instead

The content we produce ourselves is ours and we can license it:

  • AI Score, form/momentum index, fact-check verdicts: derived metrics we compute (see methodology).
  • Editorial articles in 6 languages (Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese).
  • Aggregated transformative indices (e.g. our weekly rankings) that aren't simple copies of the upstream data.

Public API: coming soon

We're preparing programmatic access to our derived and editorial content. It will be:

  • authenticated with a personal API key;
  • free for personal and development use, with paid tiers for higher volumes;
  • limited to content that doesn't reconstruct our providers' feeds (e.g. article titles, slugs, and abstracts but not bulk full bodies; scores without per-event histories);
  • governed by terms of service that prohibit syndication and bulk caching.

Bulk export and partner contracts

For more structured use cases (publishers, clubs, agencies, advanced fantasy tools) we plan dedicated contracts: seasonal CSV datasets of our indices, custom endpoints, possible one-to-one integrations. Available after commercial launch.

If you want to be notified when the public API is available, write to info@calciometrica.com describing your use case. Early access goes to projects with a concrete plan.
